Two teens charged in armed robbery of 13-year-old boy in NW Charlotte

A 16-year-old and a 15-year-old are facing several charges in connection with an armed robbery of a 13-year-old boy in northeast Charlotte Thursday night, police said. 

The armed robbery occurred at 7:13 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2 in the 2900 block of Forestbrook Drive. The 13-year-old boy told CMPD officers he was robbed at gunpoint by four to five unknown individuals, one of whom shot him in the leg. 

The young teen was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The 16-year-old has been identified as Jabari Pugh. He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. 

The 15-year-old's name has not been released by police and is being held at a juvenile detention facility.
