USC continues to use bottled water after boil-water advisory lifted

All city of Columbia customers are no longer under a boil-water advisory.

The announcement was made Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The University of South Carolina facilities staff is still in the process of purging water lines in campus buildings in order to ensure water is safe to use.

The University says students, faculty and staff should continue using bottled or boiled water.

Off campus residents are advised to flush both interior and exterior faucets, showers, water and ice dispensers before using.
