CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is challenging college students in South Carolina to lead the fight against sexual assault on their campuses.

The vice president spoke Tuesday to several hundred students gathered on the Clemson University campus as part of a nationwide tour attempting to stamp out the crime.

Biden says men must intervene if they see something wrong going on, and universities must step up to help change the culture that fosters such activity.

The vice president's cause is called the "It's On Us Week of Action" to get students involved.

On Monday, Biden spoke to midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. After his midday speech at Clemson, Biden travels to Atlanta for more meetings with students and a speech at Morehouse College.
