A father said he'll let his son dress up as a Disney princess for Halloween, and now his Facebook post about it is going viral. Paul Henson, who lives in Virginia, posted a picture of his son, Caiden in an Elsa dress, a character from the Disney movie, "Frozen."
Henson wrote on his Facebook page, "Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent. Well, he has decided on a Halloween costume. He wants to be Elsa. He also wants me to be Anna. Game on... Halloween is about children pretending to be their favorite characters. Just so happens, this week his is a princess."
See Paul Henson's post here. Since he posted the picture on October 4, the picture has gotten more than 26,000 shares on Facebook.
Some people are posting support on his page, although others disagree with his decision to let his son dress up as a princess.
Caiden's mom wrote on her Facebook page, "When Caiden said he wanted to be Elsa for halloween we didn't think twice about it. We knew there would be people who didn't agree with it but there is no way we are going to let him think he is wrong for wanting to be his favorite character for halloween. One day he may look back, laugh, & be like omg i cant believe you let me do that or he may look back one day and say thank you mom & dad for letting me be myself. Either way, I will never regret or feel bad about allowing him to figure out who he is on his own."
Henson said he had no idea his post would reach as many people as it has.
