WANTED: Man robs gas station convenience store at gunpoint in Hickory

The Hickory Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed a local gas station convenience store at gunpoint Thursday night. 

The armed robbery happened at 9:10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 at the Top Express located at 1151 16th Street NE in Hickory. 

The clerk reported to police that the suspect came into the store, displayed a black handgun, and demanded money. The hooded man took cash and fled from the store. 

The suspect is described as a while male, 5'5" to 5'7" tall, skinny, wearing a grey and black shirt with a black hooded sweater underneath, black pants, black shoes, a black and red design bandana across his face, with a tattoo on his right hand.
