WATCH: Paralyzed Patient Surprises Nurse By Standing Up

DENTON, TX- Nurses see a lot of things in their line of work. They face plenty of ups and each and every day. Many of these ups and downs can take an emotional toll on them.

One Texas nurse's reaction to great news about a patient, showed how much she truly cared.

In this case, Bailey was one of those 'downs.'

According to a Facebook post written by Bailey's mom, Bailey had been suffering from complete paralysis for 11 days, and there was no explanation as to why.

Then Bailey became an 'up.'

Finally, after 11 days, Bailey started walking again.

So, when one of her favorite nurses came into work that day, Bailey rolled over to her in a wheel chair.

The nurse begins to approach her to give her a hug. That's when she is met at eye level by Bailey, as she rises from her wheelchair, and confidently stands on her feet.

The nurse lets out a cry of joy as she hugs Bailey and rocks her back and forth, as she says "Yes, thank you, lord."

After seeing the video online, viewers took to YouTube and Reddit to show their appreciation for health care workers.

The top YouTube comment reads "This woman is the kind of person we should all try to emulate."
