CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE - A Winter Weather Advisory in effect for much of the region has expired.
Cold temperatures this morning can cause some black ice to develop in parts of the area, so watch for slick spots on roadways. Use caution on bridges and overpasses as well, these can freeze over a bit faster.
Black Ice Warning: Charlotte area side streets icy
The rest of the day will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs hitting the middle 40s. The sunshine and above freezing temperatures today will lead to more melting of the snow, which will help with the cleanup efforts. However, as temps dip into the 20s again tonight we could see more black ice into Wednesday morning.
Wednesday will remain dry with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Our next rain make comes in Thursday night and lasts through the first half of the day on Saturday. Temperatures will be back at a more seasonal level for much of the upcoming week.
STAY WEATHER AWARE:
