Woman arrested for smuggling $18,000 worth of cocaine into CLT airport

A woman tried to smuggle $18,000 worth of cocaine into the the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, according to CMPD.

Phoenicia Paisley,27, was arrested by CMPD Tuesday and charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine and one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.

Paisley tried to bring the drugs into CLT via commercial aircraft from Jamaica, according to the incident report.

Paisley was placed under a secured bond over a million dollars.
