Executives for Bank of America Stadium announced they've changed the policy for bringing in banners and flags during sporting events, such as Carolina Panthers games. The change comes after controversy over a Green Bay Packers banner Quarterback Cam Newton tore down before its home game against the Packers.
Scott Paul, Executive Director of Stadium Operations, says banners cannot be larger than 24" x 24." Visiting team fans will still be allowed to bring their banners into BOA stadium, which was allowed under the old policy.
Paul says the Panthers vs. Packers game did play a role in them revising their policy, but typically only a handful of people bring in banners to BOA stadium, and most will fit the new guidelines.
