Cam Newton abruptly walks out of press conference

Exit, stage right.

A visibly annoyed Cam Newton exited Wednesday's press conference early after the quarterback was asked about the Carolina Panthers lack of "chunk" plays.

Newton asked for another question before rolling his eyes and abruptly exiting the room.

The Panthers quarterback turned the ball over three times, two of which led to touchdowns, in the Panthers' 17-3 loss to the Chicago Bears Sunday. So far this season, Newton has thrown nine touchdown passes to 10 interceptions.

Newton skipped his weekly press conference last week without giving an explanation. NFL players are subject to fines for not talking to the media.

The former MVP has had a tumultuous relationship with the media this season. Newton came under fire after he told a female reporter that "it's funny to hear a female talk about routes" when asked about one of his teammates route-making skills. He later issued an apology.
