Gamecocks, NC State both sent packing from NCAA Women's Tourney

It was not a good day for the Carolinas in the NCAA Women's Tournament. Dawn Staley and No. 4 seed South Carolina got walloped by No. 1  seed Baylor, 93-68.

The game took place in the Greensboro regional so SC technically had a home court advantage, with Baylor fans having to travel much further. The Gamecocks were led by 17 points junior from Te'a Cooper. Mikiah Harrigan contributed 16 points off the bench.

The first team to bow out Saturday was NC State. The Wolfpack fell to No. 2 seed Iowa 79-61 in the Greensboro region. Kiara Leslie led the Pack with 16 points. NC State ends the season 28-6.
