CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - The Joe Maus Foundation is getting results in the community, raising money to benefit local children in need and animal rescues.
The foundation raised $60,000 during their Celebrity Golf Tournament this week. The money helps kids and pets across Mecklenburg, Stanly and Union counties.
Nearly 200 golfers participated, including Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera, GM Martey Hurney, players Mike Tolbert and Shaq Thompson, and Hornets legend Muggsy Bouges.
The annual event has raised close to $200,000 in the last four years.
