NC Central defeated Norfolk State 50-47 capturing the MEAC Tournament championship and securing another bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This is the Eagles third consecutive trip to March Madness. They join Gardner Webb, Duke, and North Carolina as in-state teams that will be featured in this year's bracket, set to be announced Sunday.

The Eagles finished the season 18-15, 10-6 in league play and were led on Saturday by senior Zacarry Douglas, who was the only player on the team to score in double figures with 10 points.

NC Central will now have to hope to avoid being one of the four teams selected to the play-in games on Tuesday.
