Thomas Davis vows to play, has surgery on broken arm

Kelly Davis, wife of Panthers player Thomas Davis, tells FOX 46 that her family is asking for prayers. Panthers outside linebacker Thomas Davis broke his right arm in Sunday's NFC Championship, but don't count the veteran player out. He is promising he'll play when the Panthers go to football's biggest stage.

“I’ve got two weeks to heal up,” Davis said, according to ProFootballTalk’s Darin Gantt. “Come on, you know me. I ain’t missing the Super Bowl, you know that.”

His wife posted a picture of her next to Thomas Davis as he headed into surgery. Ron Rivera confirmed at his Monday press conference that Davis had surgery on the arm, and that it was successful.
