Woody Durham, "Voice of the Tar Heels" dies at 76

Woody Durham, the "Voice of the Tar Heels," long-time radio play-by-play announcer for University of North Carolina basketball and football passed away Thursday. He was 76.

Durham spent 40 years calling games for UNC before retiring in 2011. He worked more than 1,800 games, including 23 bowls and 12 Final Fours. His voice became tied to some of the biggest moments in sports history at the school, including national championships in 1982, 1993, 2005, and 2009.
