Freezing Fog Advisory for central and southern NC counties expires

Freezing fog will create some slick spots Wednesday morning around the Charlotte metro area.

A freezing fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for our central and southern counties. Visibilities could drop to below a half mile across the area.

Temperatures Wednesday morning will largely be below freezing.

As a result, isolated spots of black ice could form on the roadways– especially on bridges and overpasses.

The fog will likely lift during the 9 o’clock hour.
