(FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Unseasonable warmth and record breaking highs expected the next several days. Highs Tuesday will soar into the low to mid 70s under partly sunny skies.
A weak cold front will slip across the area Wednesday which will cause temperatures to dip just a bit.
Strong southwesterly winds will develop on Thursday pumping temperatures back up. Highs on Thursday will be the warmest of this stretch with a record breaking high of 77 expected in Charlotte.
The current record high for Thursday is 74 which was set back in 1999.
A strong cold front will swing through on Friday bringing rain and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
