CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Gusty winds continue to impact neighborhoods across the greater Charlotte area Wednesday.
The mountain counties of Avery, Ashe and Watauga are under a high wind warning until 6 p.m. Sustained winds of 25-35 mph are expected with gusts of up to 65 mph possible.
The strongest gusts are expected to occur during the midday hours of Wednesday. Winds of those speeds would be enough to knock down trees and power lines as well as cause minor property damage.
Move unfastened items such as garbage cans and deck furniture indoors. High profile vehicles may also experience swaying on the road due to the gusty conditions.
