Wet weekend expected in Queen City as rain moves in

Cloudy and cool conditions will stick around overnight with lows holding in the 40s. A few showers could pop up before daybreak Saturday, especially across the Mountains, but most of the rain should hold off until after lunchtimes.

The heaviest rain is expected to move through during the evening and early overnight hours on Saturday. Showers could linger for a while Sunday morning before the storm system quickly pulls off to the east.

Snow showers are expected in the mountain counties late Saturday night into Sunday with 1-2” of accumulation expected.

The rest of the day on Sunday will feature clearing skies and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. 

Monday morning will be bitterly cold with lows in the teens and 20s. Despite plenty of sunshine on Monday our high temps will only be able to climb into the upper 30s.

Temperatures will eventually rebound ahead of the next rain maker that is expected to push through the area on Wednesday and Thursday.
